How we shape a hat
2. Steam the felt or straw
Steam softens the material just enough to move. Felt takes a deeper shape and holds it; straw shapes gently, so we work it slowly to protect the weave.
3. Crease the crown, set the brim
Cattleman, brick, gus, teardrop, taco brim, flat brim — tell us the look you want, or bring a photo. We shape by hand, let you try it, and adjust until it's right.
Older hats can be reshaped too. Age, sweat and sun change how a hat behaves, so bring it by and we'll tell you honestly what it will hold before we start. Call (762) 410-9316 if you want to ask about a specific hat first.

We carry felt hats for cold weather and dress-up, straw hats for working and summer, plus hat bands, feathers and care basics. Buy a hat here and we'll size and shape it for you before you leave — no shipping it off, no waiting a week.
Shaping is an in-store service. There's no online ordering — come see it, try it on, and we'll get it right in person.
